Election Night Speech, Frankfort Civic Center

Dear Friends and Fellow Kentuckians,

I am honored to have been given the confidence and trust of so many wonderful supporters like you across the state who made this wonderful victory possible.

I have worked hard to honor the trust you placed in me four years ago.  I promise that the trust you have placed in me once again will be rewarded with the hard work, honesty and integrity that I have shown throughout my career.

Now the real work begins. It’s time to look to the future and work together to build a brighter tomorrow for our state.

Kentuckians are decent, honorable hardworking people who simply want their families to share in the American dream. They deserve decent, honorable hardworking leaders who will stand up for their interests--leaders like Steve Beshear, Daniel Mongiardo, my good friend Jack Conway and our other newly elected Democratic officials.
